Fireside took a $1,000 price increase on 11 of their spec homes yesterday. I am surprised it was not more. Appraisals are a huge problem in the Valley as appraisors just cannot keep up with the rising home values. This is causing serious issues for buyers who are saddled with the yoke of a conventional loan in order to buy.

Yesterday we tried to bid on a nice home off of 43rd Street and Grovers at the trustee sale. Opening bid was $80K. We figured we would go to $97K if necessary. Fair market value based on sold comps/past due taxes/a little something to clean up the inside and commission to the buying agent when we sold it gives us our top bid. When I read these kind of reports about the High School my kids will attend, life is good. If you live in Desert Ridge your kids will go to Pinnacle and Explorer Middle and Wildfire or Fireside Elementary. What a great place to live.
