Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale will soon be breaking ground on $3.5 million worth of new space.
The organization will break ground May 24 at its Vestar and Thunderbirds branches. The project includes the opening of two new gymnasiums and renovated teen centers, called the The Hilton Teen Center at Thunderbids Branch in Greyhawk Thunderbirds Full Gymnasium — Marianne & Glenn Guenther at Thunderbids Branch in Greyhawk; and The Ellie & Michael Ziegler Teen Center and Gymnasium at Vestar Branch in Desert Ridge.
Hilton Teen Center at Thunderbirds in Grayhawk will be home to a computer/multimedia lab, game room, kitchen, fitness room, homework/tutoring facility, offices, restrooms and the Thunderbirds Full Gymnasium. State-of-the-art renovations at the Ellie and Michael Ziegler Teen Center at Vestar in Desert Ridge will include the addition of a new half gym, restrooms and a revitalization of the existing facilities built in 2007.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale has nine clubs in Scottsdale, north Phoenix, Fountain Hills, Mesa, the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community and the Hualapai Nation.
