The lease listing for the Serrantina model at 21812 North 36th Street closed yesterday for $2495 a month. Thats .92 for each of the 2720 sq ft.

The Tercera short sale at 3660 East Adobe Dr flipped to pending. Last priced at $479K there were multiple offers on the highly upgraded home. Usually when short sales go to pending that means there has been an agreement among all parties on price and who owes what to whom. All fingers crossed for a quick and successful close.

The normal sale Borrego at 3967 East Herrera Drive reduced asking price to $530K. This is a classic example of what distressed properties to to the time on market and ultimate selling price of normal sale homes. The Borrego across the street is a short sale, was priced at $395K and had 4 offers in less than 2 days.
How soon will it take folks to realize government should not be meddling in the free market? Here is this tidbit from DSNews.com:

"Consumer demand for home loans plummeted last week as mortgage rates shot up against the backdrop of the Federal Reserve's announcement to pump more money into the economy - an initiative that's designed to keep interest rates low. The total volume of new mortgage applications sank 14.4 percent. It's the biggest week-to-week drop of 2010 and the lowest reading in four months. Rates for 30-year fixed mortgages rose 18 basis points during the one-week period, but analysts say it's too soon to conclude the Fed got it wrong."
Don't forget cash for clunkers which accelerated car sales then depressed them for twice as long. And what about the $8K the government was throwing at home buyers for awhile and then when they stopped. you guessed it, home sales came to screeching halt for awhile. So we threw away tax dollars for transactions that were going to happen anyway and disrupted our own economy. They sure are smart in Washington.
