I stopped by the sales office at DR Horton's Cielo at Desert Ridge development at 40th Street and Pinnacl Peak Road. They have 48 lots left to sell and think they will be done by around April/May 2013. Asked if they are considering repurchasing the land to the east that they gave back to the state land department, the answer was no. The State of Arizona wants too much for it. Which I don't understand. Landlords across the Valley have had to renegotiate leases. It would benefit the state to have a builder keep building and creating ....jobs. And the builder is already right there and it just makes too much sense to come to an agreement on a price for the land. Government.
The webpage, boundaries and more for the new elementary school in Fireside have been announced. Here is the link to the website. This is fantastic news as the pressure will now be taken off Wildfire. Next year they will have sixth grade back instead of those kids having to go to Explorer Middle School. Great news. Call me if you would like to live here as the ability to walk your kids to school is very cool. Just don't wear bermuda shorts, black socks and wingtip shoes when you do it.
