Real Estate Issues

A great blog post from Jay Thompson at phoenixrealestateguy.com regarding the laws of real estate. They are all true - especially the last one. We leave for a vacation? Offers roll in on listings and 4 buyers want to see a home in Aviano. Why this happens is best left to the real estate gods but it does truly happen. Every time. And I'm glad it does.

Now that both of my kids go to Wildfire the true value of living in a community like Aviano is realized. Walking with your kids to and from school is, in my opinion, the greatest thing. Some good conversations and time well spent for everyone.

I have to call in this afternoon to see if I have jury duty. I am all for doing my civic duty but I already have. A three week jury trial back when I was employed by a large corporation who, by law, had to pay me while I did my civic duty. That's great. As a Realtor, I wake up everyday unemployed. If I do not match up buyers with places to live or places to live with buyers and write those contracts, I do not get paid. Nobody is going to pay me now while I sit and listen to the exploits of societies finest. And the stipend they give you is not payment unless I had the cost structure of a Tibetan monk. The government is already making it difficult to do my job with regulation and taxes. Now they want my time. Should be interesting.
