Who Names These Models?
My mother in law retires today after 37 years working in the bakery department of the Jewel food store in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. Congratulations Mimi. Our kids will likely be independent contractors revolving loosely around whatever they get a degree in and have 12-15 different "jobs" in the course of their lifetime. For a variety of reasons, 37 years in the same job is going the way of the dinosaur.
Got a call from a very nice guy on Wednesday to see some rentals. We identified 5 to see on Thursday. By the time I got him in my car there were 2 left that had not been snapped up. Lets take a look at some new to the market rentals:
The Tercera model at 3707 East Crest Lane is available for lease priced at $3500 unfurnished. Listed as 3961 but I see a second floor over the garage so with a bonus room it is really 4438 sq ft. 4 bedrooms, 4 baths, pool, spa and 3 car tandem garage. Great location on a cul de sac with a pocket park just behind it. Easy walk to the community center. Floorplan
The Granite model in Fireside at 3960 East Cat Balue Drive is listed for $1900 a month unfurnished. 1764 sq ft with 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths and an attached 2 car garage. Built in 2009 this is one of the Eternal Series homes that are very popular. No common walls. Floorplan
New to market for sale in Aviano is this Borrego model at 22028 North 36th Terrace priced at $410K or $131 for each of the 3130 sq ft. 5 bedrooms, 3.5 baths and a 3 car garage. Built in 2006 this home looks to the south and the big Aviano park on the west side of the community. A Contemporary elevation with slab granite in the kitchen and master bath, black appliances with a built-in fridge, gas cooktop and nice tile backsplash. The DR Horton new build community at the SE corner of 40th Street and Pinnacle Peak Road just sold another home. The Cunningham model at 4020 East Navigator Lane closed for $387K. Looking at this picture, I'm thinking someone needs to call the police and report theft of square footage as this home is only listed at 2968. I need to revisit the models as it has been some time since I was over there. 5 bedrooms, 3 baths and a 3 car garage. Speaking of Cunnigham, Happy Days was playing on one of the retro tv channels last week and it was not able to hold the attention of the kids. They were openly mocking the Fonz. How times have changed. But back then there were 3 channels on the tv I guess any entertainment was good.
